Rick Rasmussen

Rick Rasmussen is a Silicon Valley native with several lifetimes worth of experience and accomplishment.  Rick is a sought-after speaker in the fields of entrepreneurship, corporate innovation as well as ecosystem development and has keynoted dozens of conferences around the world. 

He currently serves as Industry Fellow and Director of Startup Programs for the Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology at UC Berkeley.  Here he has developed a full set of graduate-level curricula covering the range of startup development from inception through exit.   This material has been extensively taught at many top 50 global entrepreneurial international universities including UC Berkeley, Columbia, NYU, IE Business School, NTU, Tsinghua, CKGSB, ETH, Northeastern and worked with many more. 

Rick advises accelerators and government-led economic development initiatives for a number of countries including Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Canada, China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Portugal, Mexico, and Ukraine.   Prior, Mr. Rasmussen served as the Trade Commissioner for the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade with responsibility for linking Canadian IT companies to Silicon  Valley.   He operates flawlessly among startups, the corporate world, government and education.
